Darren Morze
Darren Morze is an American film composer and music producer. He began his career as a musician and live sound engineer, touring the world with artists such as Dr. Dog, The Killers, Jane’s Addiction, Easy Star All-Stars, Placebo, and The Raveonettes. Darren began his film scoring career with Shawn Christensen’s short film, Curfew, which won over 40 international film festival awards before winning the Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film at the 85th Academy Awards. With that success, Darren then pursued film scoring full time, combining his passion for experimental music composition and sound design with his obsession of non-traditional instrumentation and electronica. To date he has scored over 150 films and documentaries, in addition to dozens of modern dance performances, art installations, and commercials.
